Get Informed, Stay Informed and Pass It On – Remember, It Only Takes  a Spark To Get a Fire Going!

That’s right. Nobody knows nuttin’ about the Obamcare fiasco. That’s usually what happens when everyone’s in charge butt nobody’s responsible.

Big Guy was given the royal mushroom treatment; which is fine because he’s more of a big picture guy anyway.

Speaking to CNN, Kathleen Sebelius, the country’s Health and Human Services Secretary, said Mr Obama first learned of them ‘the first couple of days after’ the site went live on October 1.

When asked if he knew of any of the website’s problems before that, she replied: ‘No, sir.’

mushroomsKITD – FS

Kathypotomous herself was unaware of the the program “glitches” because she is more of an oversight person than a detail gal. And so she just closed her eyes, clicked her ruby red heels together and HOPED it would work.

ruby-slippers-wizard-of-oz

Sebelius admitted the government had hoped the HealthCare.gov website had the ‘A-team’ working on it from the start, when asked why the experts were not brought in before its launch.

She told CNN:

‘We want to make sure that we get all the questions on the table, that we get all the answers and accelerator the fix as quickly as possible.’

In my experience, really Big Idea/Big Picture people with Big Brains (BBs) try to do that first; before getting into the detail plans and programming. Butt I guess our transformation strategy works a little differently.

So, despite our humble attempts to keep our “You didn’t build that” defense meme alive;

we’ve been forced to reboot and accept the same reality that real businesses do; that is, if we succeed, Big Guy will take the credit:

bo build

butt if we fail, well, that’ll be your own damn fault. Because, like I said, Barry’s sort of a “big picture” guy.

Then, I open up my mail bag this morning and find this from a self-proclaimed “regular reader and fan”:

…I could be wrong, but anyway….somebody needs to tell Obama, the architect of Obamacare that “You DID build this. Nobody else made it happen”!! and use his own words against him. Maybe MOTUS can let him know!!

Thanks!

DT

Oh my! I thought he said he was a fan! It sounds like he’s trying to get me fired – nobody “Alinskies” our Alinskyite and lives to tell about it. Never-the-less, I did analyze the situation to determine if DT had a leg to stand on:

In 2008, Big Guy campaigned against Hillarycare, a mandatory, universal health care insurance system. He “reasoned” that it was un-American, and probably un-Constitutional, to require everybody to buy health care insurance. So you might say he was against it, before he was for it.

Later, after fundamentally transforming America and nullifying that pesky document of negative liberties, he evolved to support the idea of mandatory, universal health care insurance, now, transformed into the much more attractive “Obamacare.”

Big Guy, being the big picture guy, then tossed the turd ball to his loyal Obots to “pass the bill” and later “find out what’s in it.” Fancy Nancy and Grimy Harry grabbed the ball, fussed and feuded with it until they found just the right mix of bribes, kickbacks and threats that, when combined with ITB (Inside The Beltway) trickery and skullduggery, would suffice to prevent the pesky “document of negative liberty” (DONL) from getting in the way. Sure enough; reconciliation! They implemented a new rule that deemed the biggest tax increase penalty tax increase in the history of the solar system originated in the House, rather than actually originating there, as previously required by the DONL.

Butt let’s not get lost in the weeds here, I just wanted to determine whether Big Picture Barry was completely responsible for this BFD known as Obamacare. I’m going to rule, “no.”  On the one hand it would be tempting to say “You DID build this (BFD) on your own!” to Big Guy’s face; on the other hand, it’s growing painfully more apparent every day that “nobody else made it happen” (which is to say, our little people let us down).

Maybe our “tech surge” will work, at which point we can all take a bow, high-five, spike the ball and move on to immigration “reform.”

“Divert more power to the shields Scotty!”

“I’m givin’ her all she’s got, Captain!”

Liberal Rag Slate Rips Obama Over Disastrous Obamacare Rollout: He’s Either Inept Or Lying…

Liberal Rag Slate Rips Obama Over Disastrous Obamacare Rollout: He’s Either Inept Or Lying…

Get Informed, Stay Informed and Pass It On – Remember, It Only Takes  a Spark To Get a Fire Going!

Note to Slate: He’s both, and then some.

Via Slate:

An IT problem has never escalated faster than the president’s Rose Garden speech Monday addressing the problems with Healthcare.gov. He could no longer outsource responding to user complaints. At first, the White House had said the headaches signing people up for health care coverage were just technical glitches, but now the sheer number of those glitches defies that explanation. Reporting about deeper systemic problems suggest that fixes will not come quickly. As my colleague Matthew Yglesias explains, adding more bodies to the problem adds more complexity, which may exacerbate the problem. It’s hard to untangle Christmas lights by committee.

Barack Obama doesn’t like to play the action-hero president where the application of his overwhelming will is supposed to directly correlate with a snappy solution. There are too many constraints on the presidency—Congress, a fickle public, world leaders, a $17 trillion economy, and the vagaries of time and space. But with the botched Obamacare rollout, the president was applying all the rhetorical torque he could muster. “Nobody’s madder than me about the fact that the website isn’t working as well as it should,” Obama said on Monday, “which means it’s going to get fixed.” […]

he stories keep shifting. Administration officials said the site had been tested as thoroughly as the IRS computer systems that handle electronic tax returns. Now Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius admits the system wasn’t tested enough. In the first several days, administration officials spoke of “glitches,” and Secretary Sebelius asked that people give the government the same amount of slack Apple gets when it launches a new product. But the administration dropped that analogy because, unlike Apple’s quick admission that Apple Maps was a mess, the government can’t just let users install Google Maps (and there have been no quick firings for the mess, as there were at Apple). The president and his team then said the website snafus were the result of huge traffic, but that explanation doesn’t explain the considerable technical problems now being reported. Reports of the extraordinary number of people who have accessed the site are themselves full of fuzzy claims that seek to oversell the success.

There’s a dangerous spiral that can take hold in these situations, as spin intended to distract from the current mess becomes its own problem. That is especially true when the facts demonstrate that the story the administration was selling is too optimistic: Either the White House knew how bad things were and wasn’t playing it straight or it didn’t know how bad things were and is just inept. Which one the public chooses—or whether they forgive the launch pad mishaps when everything is repaired—depends on the administration’s operational, rather than its political, skill. The customer support ticket has reached the highest level; now the country must wait.

Sebelius: We Are Bringing Western Civilization to Its Knees With Obamacare

In a bizarre statement, US Secretary of Health and Human Services Kathleen Sebelius said that, “As you know, we’re facing the end of the Western Civilization by having a market-based strategy. We are bringing Western Civilization to its knees by selling private insurance plans on a website where people can pick and choose.” At face value, this could imply any number of things including a bold-faced admission that ObamaCare is the end of the Western Civilization health care system. View the rest of the bizarre and infuriating interview in the link above.
